Well Saturday morning was not a good morning to
say the least. John woke up and his thoat was thrashed from last night.
He was pretty hoarse and with two gigs in a row until a day of rest on
Monday, it didn't look good. Trying not to speak and drinking boiling hot
tea for most of the day, John tried to rest up for the show tonight in
Kutina, just down the highway from Ludberg. The Aqua Klub was pretty packed
and some how we got through the gig. Not our best at all. I don't think
the audience caught on, but we felt a vibeless performance. Hell it happens.
Especially after coming off of an emotional high like the previous night
in Ludwig, where we did notice some familiar faces in the audience. John
struggled but made it through the night, half way through he voice was
gone and you could tell, especially when he could hit the high notes in
the chorus of "Crvena" or in "Anti-Love Song". Tone hit some bad notes
here and there and Tony dropped a stick a few times. It all started with
the tired voice and just carried the ripple effect down through. That's
why it's called a band, and when one part of the machine isn't well oiled,
it tends to affect the other parts. Oh well, wait till tomorrow night.
